Fostering Families Today and The Chronicle of Social Change have created “Kids on the Hill,” a special legislative issue focused on federal child welfare policy and key issues affecting vulnerable children and families across the nation.
The stories in “Kids on the Hill” deal with issues such as opioids and their contribution to rising foster care numbers, immigration policy involving minors and how education services can play a role in outcomes for foster youth. Interviews with members of Congress, a timeline of child welfare’s history, estimates of our nation’s foster home capacity and pending legislation are also included.
This magazine will outline the current state of child welfare policy for legislative leaders, public and private child welfare administrators and their staffs, advocates, foundations, social workers, foster parents and youth in foster care.
If you would like to order copies of Kids on the Hill, please contact FMC’s business development manager Bryan Curiel at bryan@fosteringmediaconnections.org or by phone at 213-265-7767. Individual copies are $5.95 each. Orders of 10 or more are $4.95 each.
