From the Desk of Irene Clements

April 2020

In the last 60 days, I have been most active with Community Outreach and Collaboration. With news of the latest COVID-19 pandemic, many conversations and interviews have occurred on the virus’ effect on families in the foster, adoptive, and kinship realm. I foresee a multitude of exceptional upcoming resources and information resulting from the following conversations and interviews:

  • NBC outreach reporter living in London, England – researching the broad overview the pandemic has had on the foster care system.
What To Do With Those Kids
Irene Clements has parented countless children over her 51 years as a foster and adoptive parent. She knows a thing or two because she’s seen a thing or two! There isn’t much that shocks Irene. She and her fellow National Foster Parent Association member, Arnie Eby, a 25-year foster parent, share their suggestions for how to make the best of our time at home during the COVID-19 pandemic, and for every other stressful time, we’ll ever encounter.

I encourage you to stay tuned to our social media platforms and other outlets related to the COVID-19 pandemic.
